Someone told me today......
"If you can't work, be a teacher.
If you can't teach, be a consultant!"
Apparently, someone "high up" said the above statement on several occasions. She felt quite offended as she was once a teacher, and subsequently became a consultant.
Teacher=poor worker? Ha, maybe that someone "up there" should try be a teacher and then share his experience!!!
It's a shame that many people out (up) there still have the wrong perceptions! Teaching experience certainly is working experience and in fact, I think being a teacher allows one to acquire a wide variety of skill sets. Sad to say, many people still do not consider teaching as relevant working experience. :(
Teaching is NO EASY job nor is it a NO BRAINER job! It's tough, I can assure you. We ought to salute the people who are still in the profession!
No job is easy. Be it a teacher or a consultant, they each have their fair share of nonsense. Eveyone who earns a living through decent means deserves our utmost respect!

So does that means that being a consultant neither can teach nor work! if i negate the 2 statements.
my conclusion: that person is damn low class.
Tell him, consultants are highly sought after for some industries, and if there's no teachers, are we able to go to sch attending classes then?
Lame lame lame!! Ask ur friend to ignore that kind of statements.
It's "amazing" how people perceive teachers (and consultants)! I thought "surveys" say that teachers here are highly regarded and respected by the general public? How come my experiences tell me otherwise???
It's sad.
