Tuesday Blues

I started the week thinking that I'm in for a crazy work week. Luckily the BIG meeting has been rescheduled to May, so I can take a breather now. Nevertheless, Feb, March and April will still be the peak period. I'm trying hard not to think about how low my quality of life will be in the next 3 months...

My boss mentioned today that teachers are quite well-paid these days. I just smiled and said that it depends on how you see it. I'm sick of "explaining" to non-teachers, or rather, people who do not understand how sad the life of a teacher can be. I guess at the end of the day, it's not about monetary reward. Not that it's not important, but at some point in time, no amount of money can make up for the loss of personal time...

In the last 3 months, people have asked me many questions about the teaching profession. Reason? Their relatives and friends are all ready to become teachers should they be retrenched. I don't know if I should cry or laugh...

Glad tomorrow is Wednesday. That's the half-way point of the working week. YEAH!

Ha, I guess the answers might no be genuine afterall......

Not that I am against people who become teachers because they are retrenched......if they have the passion, then by all means join the profession. But if it's just to keep them employed during the recession, then maybe they've got to reconsider.
